Tomorrow is the day when Apple will officially reveal the new 4K Apple TV with powerful equipped components. This news was disclosed by Steven Troughton-Smith after evaluating all the firmware documents.
After going into details of the code, the information was leaked regarding the 4K Apple TV that is very similar to iPad Pro’s insides; it is expected that the new Apple TV will run on an A10X Fusion chipset integrated with 3 GB RAM. On the other hand, the existing Apple TV runs on an A8 chip coupled with 2 GB RAM.
Speaking about the specifications, the 4K Apple TV features an A10X Fusion SoC, which is similar to the chips used in the new iPad Pro models, thereby increasing the computation and graphics performance.
The biggest advantage of using a powerful chip is that the company provides a rich environment for playing high-end graphical 3D games. The competitor of Apple that feature 3D gaming on TV is Nintendo Switch.
The RAM memory can be extended from 2GB to 3GB as per requirements and cache size requirements of streaming 4K video.
Apart from this, it is expected that Apple will reveal new hardware, and its tie-ups with major content providers to form an environment of 4K movies and TV shows to play on Apple TV. This will include selling 4K HDR content on iTunes and getting third-party apps to update to support the new resolution, like Netflix.
