On 18 December 2019, the science fiction film, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will premiere in the Dutch cinema. The popular series of Star Wars films has led Samsung to release a Galaxy Limited Edition smartphone of its most high-end model, the Galaxy Note 10 Plus. Samsung provides a new smartphone with a Star Wars-inspired design and matching digital content.
Samsung limited edition bundle
This exclusive phone comes bundled with a specially designed case, a metal badge as a collector’s item, an S Pen stylus pen and the Galaxy Buds earbuds. The bundle also includes special Star Wars-themed wallpapers, animations and special sounds for the fans to enjoy.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus Star Wars Limited Edition will be released from December 10, 2019, in a limited number of countries. It is as yet unclear whether you can also buy this device in the Netherlands.
Earlier this month, it was announced that Samsung and Lucasfilm had entered into a partnership prior to the cinema release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. This Limited Edition version is only part of a larger marketing advertisement around the latest movie in the Skywalker saga.
Samsung is not the only manufacturer that has released a Galaxy Star Wars smartphone. In 2017, OnePlus too introduced a Star Wars Limited Edition based on the movie Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Features of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus
The newest Galaxy Note was presented in August 2019, the Plus model is the most advanced. The 4G model received a suggested retail price of € 1100 during the release. Samsung has not yet released any information about the price of the Limited Edition version. Since there are various extra accessories included, this model will undoubtedly be sold for at least the same amount.
Some of the highlights of the Note 10+ are the 6.8-inch AMOLED display, the S Pen, a 10-megapixel punch-hole camera, a quad camera (16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle, 12-megapixel wide-angle, 12-megapixel telephoto, and a DepthVision camera), an in-display fingerprint scanner and the extremely powerful Exynos 9825 chipset with 12GB RAM. In addition, there is a choice of 256 GB and 512 GB memory.
Finally, a 4,300 mAh battery is built-in, which also applies to the 5G model. Samsung has not yet specified whether the Galaxy Note 10 Plus: Star Wars Limited Edition will offer 4G or 5G support. It is probably the 4G model. Often these types of Limited Edition versions are sold out very quickly, so if you want to buy a Star Wars Edition, make sure you are there quickly.
