Nokia 7.2 was launched in October 2019, proved, at first, glance, to be one of the most efficient Android smartphones that came with a pocket-friendly price. In fact, it was one of the best smartphones available on the market under Rs. 20000.
Just when things were running smoothly, Nokia community support faced some problems on the users’ end, and Nokia’s discussion forum and community support did not respond to the problems immediately.
The problem that poked its way into the community support was that of the SD card problem. One of the users of the Nokia 7.2 complained about not being able to open their Gallery or we can say Photos and Videos on phone after inserting the SD card. The files on the complainer’s phone are probably corrupted, and not a single third-party app can open them; even mailing them seems to be in vain as the photos did not even open in Gmail.
Another issue regarding the photo fiasco is that the photos taken on the mobile camera are not uploading to the Google cloud.
Nokia is yet to address this particular issue but it looks like there are some problems with either the SD card or Nokia 7.2 is having some readability issue with the SD card. It seems unlikely that the card itself is corrupted since it had been formatted and used before in Nokia 4.2. Even restoring the smartphone to its factory setting did not seem to help. It is most likely a developer bug issue as Nokia Lumia 625 had faced a similar problem and the problem was cleared after the software was updated.
Another problem with the SD card is that the card itself is preventing the music from being played.
According to Nokia support, “At the moment we do not have the information about when you could use it as internal, however, you can transfer all multimedia with the steps on the last email in order to get more storage, however, at the moment, the best way to your SD works properly with the phone is as portable an this is to avoid that the apps crashed as it is happening.”
Nokia apparently had taken this issue into account and are trying to solve the problem.
