Apple Sanlitun, Beijing’s Apple store of 2008, located in Taikoo Li Sanlitun mall, had been undergoing innovations for months and got to open today around 10 in the morning officially. Adjacent to the original building, this new store is the epitome of the avant-garde.
With its 33-foot transparent facade made of glass, canopied by solar roofs helps provide power to the store. This two-floored store is double the original’s size, featuring stone stairs, escalators, and footbridge to help people inside the store for an easy commute from one place to the other.
Moreover, the outer space, beautifully decorated with manured gardens, exotic flowers have got benches providing a zen-like ambiance for the visitors.
The store is divided into two sections internally. One of the sections called the Avenues is dedicated to the product tables, while the Boardroom is meant for local business people and entrepreneurs to hold discussions as well as receive guidance and advice from experts.
The second floor on the other hand feature Today at Apple, having a panoramic view of Beijing is mostly a reverberation of creative facets where Beijing’s best artists, musicians, and creative heads come to hold sessions and impart creative ideas to interested employees as well as the common mass.
However, opening a retail store amidst this pandemic is not an easy feat. Thus, Apple has tried to implement all the possible precautionary protocols that assure health securities for the public. Apart from the usual safety precautions mask requirement, temperature checks, and social distancing before entry and inside the store are mandated by Sanlitun.
