Huawei Amazfit Neo is the new Retro-Style Smartwatch that has debuted today. It will have around 4 weeks of battery life, according to the company.
The Watch sports a 1.2-inch black and white STN LCD panel. This will help in easier visibility under the sunlight. The Amazfit Neo will come in three color options and will be compatible with Android and iOS devices.
The Amazfit Neo includes a BioTracker PPG optical sensor for 24-hour heart rate monitoring. The smartwatch will have vintage straps that render a traditional look of a digital watch. The watch will also be equipped with three distinct sports modes.
Huawei Amazfit Neo will be priced roughly around CNY 299 which is Rs. 3,200, though the initial discounted price was fixed at CNY 279 which is roughly Rs. 3,000. The smartwatches will be available only in the Chinese market and in Classic Black, Grass Grey Green, and Coral Orange colors.
There is still no news about the global launch of the same. The Watch will also not have a touch panel but will work with buttons only. Among other features, there will be a tri-axis accelerometer for powering the three preloaded sports modes for the users to track the cycling, running, and walking.
The fitness tracking will be provided by the PAI health analysis system that has been added by Huami. It will be water-resistant up to 5 ATM and can survive in up to 50 meters deep water. It will also have a sleep monitor and will be capable of providing notification alerts from a connected smartphone. But the users can not send or read text messages or make or receive calls, which is something quite common on other smartwatches nowadays.
The Amazfit Neo will also be Bluetooth v5.0 BLE enable and will be powered by a 160mAh battery which can last up to 37 days with a single charge. It will weigh around 32 grams. We would be eagerly waiting for its global availability to provide a hands-on review.
