The pandemic literally confined everyone to their homes, and the working environment did take a hit for a lot of companies, and not just in the tech area. Ever since the companies had to adapt, and as such the surge in ‘working from home’ skyrocketed.
It would not be an exaggeration to state that the global health crisis changed work styles and living habits for the foreseeable future. It would obviously take a long time before everything, including the workforce, goes back to the way it was before the pandemic hit. However, the tech hub tried to make the most of it and is working on making working from home easier.
The computer manufacturer Lenovo also came up with a new ThinkSmart Hub product that focuses on video conferencing applications. The ThinkSmart Hub will offer the user an experience that is as simple as making a phone call without distracting them from the task at hand due to some complex operating systems and applications.
For video conference based office meetings, or whatever it may be, Lenovo’s ThinkSmart Hub can be the center of the “new normal” mode of communication. The new device will replace Lenovo’s previous 500 models.
The product is equipped with a 10.1-inch FHD display screen that comes with the ability to rotate 360 degrees. The body volume for the latest ThinkSmart Hub has been reduced by 20%. The one-wire solution will keep the workplace tidy and free of entangled wires.
Under the hood, it comes with an Intel Core i5 processor with vPro function which will work exceptionally well especially for Microsoft Teams users.
However, Lenovo did not mention the option of the Zoom cloud video conferencing. The new ThinkSmart Hub will go on sale next month.
Lenovo is yet to mention the exact model number; the price is yet to be announced.
