Very recently, an Asus laptop with Ryzen 7 5800H hybrid processor was spotted on the website of the Ukrainian store. The reports suggest that the laptop could have 8 cores and multithreading support and frequencies higher than the Ryzen 4800H.
In addition to these, the laptop has a discrete GeForce RTX 3070 Max-Q graphics card. This graphics card could have an updated PCIe controller and support PCIe 3.0 x 16 or even the PCIe 4.0 interface, whereas Ryzen 4000H only supports the PCIe 3.0 x 8 interface.
Asus already has a number of devices in the queue to be released in 2021. The Ryzen 5000 is expected to be announced at CES 2021 or shortly before its opening in early January.
On the other, Intel is currently preparing Tiger Lake-H processors for high-performance laptops, but the date of release of the processors is not announced yet. Quad-core Core i7-11370H is one of the processors to feature the Tiger Lake-H specifications.
The Geekbench benchmark recently featured a quad-core Core i7-11370H; however, it did not perform well in tests. Meanwhile, the premiere of the U-line APUs is in talks. One of Asus laptops based on the Ryzen 7 5800H APU has already been spotted online.
Additionally, the powerful 45W Ryzen 5000H APUs could debut simultaneously as U-series APUs and even before Tiger Lake-H.
Though Tiger Lake-H was able to beat the current Ryzen 4000H APUs, will it be able to compete with the other new-generation processors already on the way? Only time will tell.
