Very recently, Google launched the Google Pixel 6 series. Google boasts of a self-developed SoC running the new Pixel series. Moreover, the tech giant also adopted a new and unique design for this series of smartphones, and the powerful camera hardware made it an instant fan favorite. In short, at first, the consumers of the Pixel series were not at all disappointed. However, after using the smartphones from this series for a while, a few users gradually became aware of the problems and bugs that appeared.
On November 6, some overseas users complained that the Google Pixel 6 would automatically light up from time to time, despite the user or anyone not using the smartphone. The problem does not end there. The smartphones start automatically making calls to the contacts added in the phone’s directory.
The user further mentioned that this bug would randomly select a contact from the mobile phone contact list when making a call. It goes without mentioning that this is genuinely a cause for great concern. Furthermore, this problem is not limited to only the Google Pixel 6 smartphones, but a few other users have pointed out that the same thing is happening on the previous generation models of Google Pixel 3a and the Google Pixel 4a.
On a forum, some users suggested that the user who is facing the problem should try disabling the “Ok Google” wake word detection to solve the issue. As of now, Google has not responded to this complaint, but this problem might also be repaired by means of OTA patch promotion sometime in the future.
Interestingly, this is not the only issue that users of the new Pixel series have. A few sources have found out that the Pixel 6 Pro that comes with a 5000mAh battery takes nearly two hours to fully charge with a 30W charger although Google promised that the smartphone can be charged up to 50% in just half an hour.
