Today, the Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has officially announced that it has donated the sum of 10 million yuan to Xi’an Charity Association.
According to the Chinese designer and manufacturer of consumer electronics, the money aims at purchasing anti-epidemic materials and providing relevant protection for front-line anti-epidemic personnel under the Xi’an Charity Association.
Recently, Xi’an City in Shaanxi Province has clicked the “stop button,” and residents from all walks of life have entered the fight without gunpowder. The struggle against the new crown epidemic in Xi’an is reaching a critical point, affecting people all around the country.
Xiaomi announced that it is mobilizing the entire group’s resources, raising and sending hundreds of thousands of anti-epidemic protection goods, and completely supporting the anti-epidemic effort.
In addition, Xiaomi Charity Foundation gave Xi’an Charity Association a donation of ten million yuan to acquire anti-epidemic supplies and offer appropriate protection for front-line anti-epidemic workers.
On December 29, Zhang Fenghu, Deputy Secretary-General of the Xi’an Municipal Government, announced that Xi’an had conducted four rounds of nucleic acid screening since the onset of this cycle of the epidemic.
On the 28th, the four important areas of the High-tech Zone, Yanta District, Chang’an District, and Lianhu District, are still open. From 12:00 until 24:00, a second round was held.
The number of positive cases identified in the first three rounds of nucleic acid screening remained high; 400 people were detected in the third round, 122 people were positive in the fourth round, and the number of positive cases detected began to fall.
From December 9th to 24:00 on December 28th, a total of 962 local confirmed cases were recorded in Xi’an, all of which were admitted to designated hospitals on time. At this time, four persons have been cured and transferred to rehabilitation treatment after being discharged from the hospital.
The remaining 958 confirmed cases, comprising 6 severe cases, 533 ordinary cases, and 419 light cases, were treated in isolation in the Municipal Chest Hospital and the Municipal Persons’ Hospital’s Aerospace District, including 106 people over 60 years old and 111 people under 18 years old. Overall, the situation is stable.
