According to a recent USPTO filing, Apple has filed a patent for a potential smart ring accessory that responds to user input.
The patent details a ring worn on the finger that controls devices like smartwatches, earbuds, and health monitoring devices.
The smart ring may offer functions such as music playback control, heart rate monitoring, and interaction with Siri.
It could also provide notifications via vibration from a paired smartphone and enable scrolling on the phone by rotating the outer part of the ring.
The ring's design includes a rotatable outer band while the inner portion remains attached to the finger.
While the final product's appearance remains uncertain, these concepts align with Apple's existing tech portfolio, though a release date is unclear.
