The MIUI 9, through a new MIUI 9.2 version, has at last been delivered to Xiaomi Redmi Note. The MIUI 9.2, the latest global MIUI ROM introduced by Xiaomi for its smartphones running MIUI 9, has now been made available for both the Xiaomi Redmi Note and Xiaomi Redmi Note Prime. To be precise, Redmi Note will get the MIUI 9.2.2.0 version, whereas Redmi Note Prime will receive the MIUI 9.2.3.0 version.
Among the older devices, Xiaomi Redmi 1S will receive the MIUI 9 update, whereas Redmi Note 3 will be getting the new MIUI 9.2 version.
It was back in 2014 when Xiaomi Redmi Note was introduced in India. At the time of release, it was running MIUI 5, which was based on Android 4.2.2 KitKat. Xiaomi Redmi Note Prime, introduced in 2015, came with MIUI 7, based on Android 4.4 KitKat. In spite of receiving the latest custom ROM, the Redmi Note Prime will still run Android 4.4 KitKat. However, the newly added features are expected to enhance the Redmi Note Prime user experience.
Apart from the latest security app capable of running virus and payment scans, the latest MIUI global stable update 9 offers an improved layout and readability feature for contacts search. The new ROM fills with a couple of new features – a dedicated button turns off the battery saver automatically once the device is charged.
With the update, users will get improved blocklist rules, including separated rules for each SIM card, new display formats for updating logs in the Updater app, and an option to search for applications in Dual apps settings.
After the upgradation, the Mi Mover app will support data migration restarting. Protection from unintentional tapping improved Add to Favourites icon adjustments, and overall simplification of the user interface are among the other improvements.
The cleaner app will now be able to empty the folders in a better manner. If you want to upgrade your device, just check whether the update is already available for your device, then simply follow the path, Settings > About phone > System update.
