Millions of people have high hopes for the new flagship smartphone Xiaomi Mi 7; the device’s announcement is expected in the period from March to May. It is known today that one of the ‘chips’ of the phone will be provisioned with a Face ID scanner similar to that of the iPhone X.
According to the reports, Xiaomi in partnership with OEM is completing the development of its own Face ID face-scanning system which is enabled to perform both day and night and even in complete darkness. This scanner is not a software method of identity verification that could be misled with the help of photography, and this provides 99.9% security.
The Xiaomi Mi 7 uses a glass case to enable compatibility with Qi wireless charging technology. As reports confirmed by sources, the phone will get a 5.65-inch display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a screen resolution of 2160×1080 pixels with Full HD+ that will be based on the 8-core chip Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 with a clock speed of 2.8 GHz.
In terms of camera, the phone will have a dual 16-megapixel main camera with support for 2x zoom along with background blur effect, Adreno 630 graphics, a Snapdragon X20 LTE mobile modem which speeds up to 1.2 Gb/s, 8 GB. It has 128 GB of permanent flash memory in the top configuration with battery at a capacity of 4480 mAh with Quick Charge 3.0.
The phone is based on Android 8.1 Oreo. The base version of the phone with 6/64 GB of memory is expected to price for $470.
