Juho Sarvikas, the Chief Product Officer of HMD Global, has confirmed that Nokia 6 (2018), debuting at the MWC this year, will be reaching the USA markets starting in May. Although, he didn’t give details on pricing and carrier partners.
Sarvikas, in an interview, clarified that they decided not to opt for carrier partners for the phones. He as well added that the phone would be a prospectus in the market.
The trend is that the open market is growing. If you look at this US open market, this midtier is where you have a lot of people purchasing their device. – Juho Sarvikas, the Chief Product Officer of HMD Global
Nokia 6 2018 will be priced at around £200 in the UK, which is supposed to be about $280. It was one of the five phones Nokia revealed at the MWC 2018 in Barcelona and is an updated variant of the last year’s phone of the same name. It is available in a few new color options.
Despite the rebooted 8110 banana phone or the flagship Nokia 8 Sirocco not reaching the US markets, HMD ensures that they are not neglecting the nation in selling new smartphones. Nokia 6 2018 is indeed a mid-range smartphone.
We have a more focused plan for the US and we have long-term ambition as well – it’s a key market globally. We’ll have more news to share later on this year. – Juho Sarvikas, the chief product officer of HMD Global
You know what that means. Stay tuned for Nokia!
