Capcom is finally bringing its retrotastic fighting games to Microsoft’s troubled console after years of ignoring it. Several reports yesterday talked of the news of a particular game that would not be available on Xbox.
However, reports today suggest that several games that were previously not planned for Xbox are now set to be released on the platform. This is a piece of great news for Xbox fighting game fans as Microsoft and Capcom have worked out a path forward for the MARVEL vs. CAPCOM Fighting Collection.
It is said that Arcade Classics and CAPCOM Fighting Collection 2 are supposed to hit the upcoming Xbox games list. Capricorn announced this summer that many of its old-school classics will be revived for modern systems.
Both collections will be enhanced with multiple upgrades and shall improve the overall gaming experience of the users. These upgrades include art galleries and design documentation. This shall give the gamers a deeper look into the game’s creative processes and the background work.
Furthermore, certain quality-of-life improvements shall also be included such as one-button special moves and instant character unlocks to make the gameplay more accessible and provide an overall joyful experience.
The games shall also feature rollback netcode, a sophisticated anti-latency technique frequently used in modern fighting games to ensure smooth online play. Players will also have access to both ranked and casual competitive modes online, catering to different levels of competitive interest and skill. These updates are designed to offer a more engaging and flexible gaming experience for all players.
