Windows 10 to Be Available on July 29, Announces Microsoft

Microsoft today announced the release date of its much anticipated Windows 10. The company, in a blog post, states that Windows 10 to be available on July 29 to the 1.5 billion people in the world from 190 countries using Windows from Microsoft.

At the recently concluded Microsoft Build Developer conference, the company announced Windows 10 will be the last ever Windows version in its known form, not doing future versions, and future upgrades may be rolled out like OS X for Mac.

The company was testing the new version with four million Windows Insiders and, after the positive feedback received from beta testing, decided to release it for the users. Those running their PCs with Windows 7 and 8.1 can upgrade to the free version for one year after it is released.

In the post, Terry Myerson, Microsoft Vice President for Operating Systems, says, “We designed Windows 10 to run our broadest device family ever, including Windows PCs, Windows tablets, Windows phones, Windows for the Internet of Things, Microsoft Surface Hub, Xbox One and Microsoft HoloLens—all working together to empower you to do great things.”

The new versions have a much better look than the previous version and have more security as it comes up with Windows Defender, a free anti-malware tool that adds more protection to your computer and provides security updates supported lifetime.

Last month Microsoft announced to kill its Internet Explorer browser. In Windows10, users will find  Microsoft Edge, the newly launched browser aiming to provide a better web experience, one that’s made for easy sharing, reading, researching, and getting things done.

In the last version of Windows 8, Microsoft removed Start Menu, which they reinstated in the new version. Windows 10 is faster than ever before and has quick start-up and resume options to deliver users a better experience in personal computing.

The company will release Windows10 for PC and tablet users in the first phase. See here Windows.com/windows10upgrade for availability and other details.
