Vivo, one of the leading low-priced smartphone manufacturing companies, has officially launched its Y71 smartphone. It has been speculated for a long time that Vivo was planning on launching a new range of budget-friendly smartphones, and Vivo has done exactly that. The new Vivo Y71 is supposed to be at a low price. The smartphone will be available for sale across the country in all authorized stores starting from the 14th of April. The online sale of this smartphone will start on 16th April at just Rs 10,990 only and will be available on Flipkart, Amazon, and Paytm mall.
Vivo Y71 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor. It features a 6-inch HD+ ‘FullView’ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9, and it will feature a new design technique called the ‘high polymer nano-blasting technique’. It will run on Android 8.1 Oreo and includes 3GB RAM and 16 GB built-in storage capacity.
The battery will have a power capacity of 3360 mAh. Vivo also stresses that the new smartphone will feature a “Face Access,” a kind of Apple iPhone X’s facial recognition phone unlocking system. But the, “Face Access” claims to scan the facial features not just to unlock the device but also to lower the volume when the user is looking at the screen, among other tasks.
It will also have an AI-based 13 MP rear camera with PDAF, and based on the face of the subject; the camera will automatically adjust the lighting to get the best results. The front camera can identify the gender, age, skin tone, and the texture of the subject and adjust beauty effects accordingly. Along with Xiaomi and Oppo, which just happens to be Vivo’s market competition, Vivo will also feature a bezel-less ‘FullView’ display. According to counterpoint research, Vivo is one of the top ten brands to grow rapidly in the smartphone shipment business.
