Xiaomi officially announced the Xiaomi Mi 6X at the Wuhan University in China today. It comes off with an ultra-thin design known as ‘willow waist’ and an all-metal fuselage.
Xiaomi Mi 6X sports a 5.99-inch display supporting 2160 x 1080 resolution with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It is equipped with the Snapdragon 660 AIE processor. The battery has a 3,010mAh capacity packing AI smart power and fast charge 3.0.
The AI dual camera setup in the camera division is vertically aligned on the rear panel. It bears 20 MP and 12 MP sensors aiming to offer clear and sharp images, three-dimensional characters, and natural skin texture. The AI scene recognition capabilities have intelligent recognition of 206 scene types. The front camera packs a 20 MP sensor and an AI Scene technology for optimizing portrait and background.
Xiaomi cooperated with the globally renowned photographer Aikawa Shichi to bring five filter types: micro, old dream, light sleep, Rugao, and first sight. The camera can as well detect and identify products for convenience in online shopping.
Mi 6X is available in three storage variants: 4GB+64GB priced at 1,599 Yuan; 6GB+64GB at 1,799 Yuan and 6GB+64GB at 1,999 Yuan. Sales start from 10 o’clock in the morning on April 27. The color variants are Red Flame, Black Stone, Glacier Blue, Cherry Powder, and Quicksand Gold.
Among other features confirmed are the fingerprint scanner and nano-plastic injection antenna. We have yet to find out about the operating system and other details.
