Facebook has come up with new tools for its Messenger to strengthen connections between businesses and people. While the social media platform already is helping the concerned field enormously, it defines the newness as ‘the next step in the evolution of the Messenger Platform.’

One of the major new tools is AR for Messenger. Large and small businesses can now use the Camera Effects Platform to integrate AR into Messenger. Accordingly, you can ask them to activate the camera during an interaction with a person regarding your business. It will be pre-populated with filters and AR effects relevant to your brand. This will enable them to share images or videos in their timeline, group, or even one-to-one conversations; or simply save them to their camera roll.

The AR tool being launched in closed beta enriches the online shopping experience for the customers, as they obtain images and required details of their intended-for-purchase products. The feature is as well the latest addition to Facebook AR Studio.

At launch, the brands that are bringing their AR effects for the Messenger experience are Asus, Nike, Kia, and Sephora. Facebook invites interested businesses to incorporate AR effects in the same way by signing up for its waitlist here. It will notify you when the tool is made broadly available.

M Translations

Another fresh feature for Messenger that Facebook has brought is M Translations. This is to broaden the reach of marketers across various communities, removing the language differentiation barrier. Via M Translations, your probable customers will be asked to translate a message that they’d receive in a language unknown to them.

The launch of this feature will allow translations between English and Spanish in Marketplace conversations across the U.S. The coming weeks will see an expansion of the feature in the said country. It is still on a developing course and will gradually be launched in other languages and countries.
