On Wednesday, Acer introduced a range of new products at its next Acer global press conference. The Taiwanese Multinational electronics company unveiled a new laptop designed for people, gamers, students, creators, and professionals on the go, a new gaming desktop, and laptops that are powered by Windows 10 with built-in Mixer streaming for low latency.
The new Acer Swift 5 Notebook features a 15-inch display and is powered by Windows 10 with the latest Intel core processor, weighing less than 1kg and thus ideal for students and people on the go.
We are receiving great feedback on Acer’s 14-inch Swift 5 and so we are now pushing the limits with the 15.6-inch model. We’ve kept the weight under the 1 kg mark by using ultra-narrow bezels and a marginally larger chassis. – Jerry Hou, General Manager, Acer Inc.
The Acer Swift 5 offers an 87.6% screen-body ratio and features ultra-narrow bezels measuring just 5.87 mm. The device comes with Acer Color Intelligence technology, which adjusts gamma and saturation within less time, effectively using screen color and brightness without clipping or over saturation. It will come with up to 1TB of SSD storage and 16GB RAM. It carries one USB 3.1 Type-C, two USB 3.1 Type-A ports, WiFi, Bluetooth, and HDMI port connectivity.
The Predator Helios 500 Notebook, designed exclusively for gamers, features overclockable 8th Gen Intel Core i9+ processors and overclockable NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 GPUs. It offers up to 64GB of memory, making the Helios 500 the ideal gaming notebook and live streaming. It is highlighted with a bright, vibrant 4K UHD or FHD IPS 17.3-inch displays with 144Hz refresh rates, supporting NVIDIA G-SYNC technology on both the built-in display and external monitors. The backlit RGB keyboard offers four lighting zones supporting up to 16.8 million colors.
The special edition Helios 300 is designed in an all-white aluminum chassis accented with gold trim allowing ultra-smooth gameplay. It is featured with a 15.6-inch FHD IPS display with an upgraded 144Hz refresh rate, powered by up to an 8th Gen Intel Core i7+ processor, overclockable NVIDIA GTX 1060 GPUs with up to 16 GB of DDR4 memory; upgradable to 32GB.
The new Predator Orion 5000 Series gaming desktops will come with 8th Gen Intel Core i7+ 8700K processors paired with the latest Intel Z370 chipset. It is featured 32 GB of memory; these desktops also have easy-open side panels allowing quickly swap out components and cables during upgrades. The desktop will be available in North America in July, starting at $1,499, and also in China from June. The prices and availability may vary according to the region.
Like the 5000 series, the new Predator Orion 3000 Series will come with up to 32 GB of memory and up to 64 GB DDR4-2666 RAM to support lightning-fast action while playing the latest titles. As for the availability, it will be out in the markets from October in North America, starting at $999, and also in China from July.
