A new twist to the app. Instagram today announced another feature that the users are definitely going to have fun with. A new question feature called the Questions Sticker which will let you submit questions for your friends to answer in a subsequent story post.
After taking a photo or video, users will select the question
sticker and then type the question they want their followers to answer, like “what are you doing tonight?” or “what places should I visit on vacation?” Anyone who views the story can send in a response, but the user chooses which responses they want to make public on their stories. To do so, a user simply taps on the answer, which creates a new story with the question and the chosen response. The respondent’s photo and username will not be shown.
In October, Instagram added a polling feature to its ephemeral stories, but the new questions sticker is different from Instagram’s polling sticker, where users ask their friends a question, and then they have to choose from preselected answers.
The new feature can be found in the sticker drawer. Tap it, type on it and place it on your post. When friends see it, they can tap the sticker to send replies. The replies will appear in the list of people who have viewed your story, which appears in the bottom-left corner of the post.
The questions sticker feature will be available as part of Instagram version 52 on iOS and Android undoubtedly encouraging people to use Stories to interact with their friends through the newly introduced feature.
