Earlier this week, Nintendo rolled out a stable update for all of its 3DS systems across the world. There was apparently nothing worthwhile to describe the changes except a finding by Nintendo hacker SciresM.

He found out that installing the update strengthens the anti-piracy measures in Nintendo Switch via implementing upon 3DS. From now onwards, the system will be able to detect piracy copies of any game running on Switch and 3DS. Once a pirated copy is detected, the penalty involves the respective Nintendo account and system getting banned.

Back in June, SciresM revealed that Nintendo Switch update came up with tough anti-piracy measures that can detect whether the games are legitimately purchased or not. It seems that now they have upgraded the very system they wanted to implement. Be careful, gamers!
