A new type of broadcast to the Twitter platform! Twitter rolled out a brand new feature today as the company has updated the iOS app and it brings support for audio-only broadcasts.
Twitter brings this primarily for those who just want to interact without facing the camera. “Sometimes you just want to talk, without being on camera.”
With this update, anyone can log in and stream and audio-only broadcast to their audience while still taking advantage of the chat-place and other interactive features in the platform. While you play the audio, an animated audio wave is rendered to match the audio that is broadcasted.
Twitter is also trying to redesign its web interface and has started testing out the new design with a few users. The new interface brings the ability to bookmark pages along with the user online feature. We have already covered on this; the new feature will help users to bookmark their content whereas the user online will let people start conversations more easily.
Both these features are available within limited users as Twitter tests the features before it officially rolls out. Whereas the new Twitter Audio only broadcast has been rolled out to the iOS app users only that will enable users to hear you and not see you. A specified new feature indeed! For those users apart from iOS and Periscope; you really need to wait a while until Twitter brings it to you.
