Today Facebook launched an exciting feature that would allow you to post your photos with 3D effect to their feed, especially with a good and detailed quality picture. Though they have named it the 3D effect, still pictures won’t be totally 3D, but surely it will have the depth that will give you a different view from different angles.
All you need to do is take a picture in portrait mode by using a compatible dual-lens/camera. Then you can share it as a 3D photo on your Facebook, where you can pan, scroll or tilt to see the 3D photos realistically. You can also use Oculus Browser on Oculus Go or Firefox to view Facebook 3D photos in VR.
Here are some tips to make your 3D picture look best –
1. Use Texture: You should always have a material or proper stable subject to have a better 3D picture.
2. Create Layers: Keep your subject three to four feet away to make the picture pop and that would also give depth to the picture.
3. Keep Contrast: If your subject has fantastic contrasting colors, that would give you the best 3D effect picture.
This 3D effect feature will be available to everyone on Facebook in the coming weeks.
