Google Maps has recently joined hands with the American transport rental company, Lime to provide lime scooter transportations to Google map users.
This new initiative is a huge boost up for Lime in terms of a joint venture with Google Maps. Starting now, people can access the scooter rental services in the transit Tab of the navigation menu of Google Maps. Whether you’re late for work or need to travel short distances, Google map will now assist you to find the best alternative mode of conveyance even helping users out with fair prices and traveling time.
All this will be available as a new add-on inside Google Maps itself, thus saving a lot of time hassling and moving constantly between multiple apps. Once the preferred ride is selected, the new features will guide users to the nearest Lime scooter available for rental. Users can then unlock the device via the personalized Lime card. Those who aren’t a lime customer can avail Google Map-Lime services by downloading the Lime app either from Google Play or the App store.
Though this new joint initiative will be available in a handful of cities around the world, precisely 13 cities in Australia (Auckland, Austin, Baltimore, Brisbane) and the US (Dallas, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, San Diego, Oakland, San Antonio, San Jose, Scottsdale, and Seattle), Google Maps has promised to roll out the rental service in other countries very soon.
