WhatsApp has made a new feature available to users of its Web and Desktop version. The 0.3.1846 update now features Picture-in-Picture (PiP) mode, which allows you to watch a video while doing another action within the application – like sending messages in the same chat or talking to other contacts.
WhatsApp is one of the best messaging clients around, and it just got better. Apart from supporting all mobile platforms, WhatsApp has now launched a web-based application, so you can finally use WhatsApp on your PC and sync with your phone. (It is important to explain that this functionality becomes possible only when the media file has been sent directly by messenger. If the footage is hosted on YouTube or Facebook, you will not be able to see the content within the app through the news.)
According to WABetaInfo information, the application had started testing with the feature on third-party tools. However, they decided to release at first only for videos shared by WhatsApp itself.
It is worth remembering that the Picture-in-Picture feature became available for Android in the last week, with the stable version of number 2.18.280. In iOS, the function can be used since the first half of the year.
