Facebook is pretty much serious about videos. The latest update by the social media site allows Android users to save videos offline. Now users can save videos and watch them later on, but it does not allow you to download videos directly to your mobile phone.
Videos have become one of the most sought-after features on Facebook at this moment. At the first community town hall held in November 2016, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said: “In five years, most of [Facebook] will be video.” Since in developing countries, users face a low internet connection, they can save the videos that will be stored in the Facebook app local storage to watch later on.
To save a video, you need to simply click the Dropdown menu of the ‘video bar’ and select ‘Save video’ to use the newly added function. These saved videos will appear in your ‘Saved’ directory.
According to an Android Police report, you need the Facebook app running on 85 or above version to use this feature. If you have not updated your app, just head towards the Google app store to get the latest version of Facebook.
This is not the new feature released by social media sites. Earlier, YouTube and Amazon Prime also released this feature for mobile phone users.
