Microsoft announced that they would release Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 18356 (19H1) to Windows Insiders in the First Ring. It comes with a lot of new updates and features. First, a new feature for the Your Phone app is a phone screen. Using this feature, the users will be able to mirror their phone screen onto the PC screen without any hassle. There is no need to go back and forth between opening your laptop and your mobile phone. With the help of this feature, users can view anything from their phone to their PC. This feature will eventually roll out to the 19H1 builds, but it may take a few days for this feature to finally show up on the Your Phone app. However, this feature is now available only for a limited set of devices.
Surface Go will be the first to preview this feature. This feature will be available on a number of selected Android phones running on Android 7.0 or higher and on Windows 10 PC with a Bluetooth radio that supports low energy peripheral. For the feature to work on any device, the user must ensure that the Android device is on and within the Bluetooth range of the PC and connected to the same network. There have been some issues regarding the new features. Some known issues include touch input not working yet, always ON display not being shown on the phone screen displayed on the PC; blue light preferences will not be applied on the phone screen displayed on the PC, audio will play out of the phone speakers, not the PC, double-clicking may bring down notification center, some games and apps do not support mouse interactions.
They have also fixed an issue resulting in some Insiders experiencing bug check green screens citing a KERNEL_SECURITY_VIOLATION error. Other issues involve launching games that use anti-cheat software that may trigger a bug check (GSOD), Creative X-Fi sound cards not functioning properly, and some Realtek SD card readers not functioning properly. There is also something called the Bing Insider Program, which comes with a lot of privileges of its own.
