Xiaomi Redmi launched Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro in India. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro went on sale and sold out in seconds. Xiaomi’s Manu Kumar Jain had taken to Twitter to state that the Pro version was sold out in seconds. The same happened with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7. The next sale of Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro is scheduled for March 20.
Concerning the features, The Pro comes with a full size of 6.3-inches full HD+ (2340 ×1080 pixels resolution) LTPS in-cell display with dot notch display design and gets a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 2.5D curved glass, with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front and rear panel. The smartphone is backed by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 675 processor which has been clocked at 2.0GHz and comes welded to Adreno 612 GPU for graphics. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro is sold in 3GB/4GB/6GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB/128GB of storage versions, all of which supports expandable storage via microSD. While the smartphone runs Android 9.0 Oreo with MIUI 10 on top, it also comes with dual SIM connectivity.
In terms of camera, the Pro gets a dual-rear camera setup which is a 48-megapixel camera with a Sony IMX586 sensor with Quad-pixel binning technology, f/1.79 aperture, EIS, 0.8μm pixel size, PDAF, and a secondary 5-megapixel secondary sensor with LED flash. On the selfie front, there is a 13-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture, autofocus, AI beauty, and more. The Redmi Note 7 Pro gets a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, 3.5 mm audio jack, micro USB Type-C support, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and a 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0 support.
For the Note 7, the new update brings the software version up to MIUI 10.2.7.0. From what we know so far, the update is only rolling out to global units of Note 7, and Chinese handsets.
The Note 7 Pro has priced at Rs. 13,999 for the 4GB RAM / 64GB storage version while Rs. 16,999 for the 6GB RAM / 128GB storage version in India. Whereas Note 7 looks like an incremental upgrade and is just there to tap the Rs 10,000 segment.
