Lenovo announces the world’s first foldable PC. Intel says that it will be at least two years before laptops with foldable screens take off.

Details of the foldable notebook are still limited, and Lenovo hasn’t revealed the product’s final name. On the inside, it comes with a 13.3-inches foldable display that pushes 2K resolution in a 4:3 aspect ratio. It uses a single OLED panel that’s made in collaboration with LG display.

During the Lenovo Accelerate conference in Orlando, Florida, the company gave attendees an early look at its upcoming foldable-display laptop. The still-to-be-named product will be a part of Lenovo’s ThinkPad X1 line of laptops, and the company says it envisions this as a clear laptop replacement, not a supplemental device.

Lenovo says it envisions a handful of different use cases for this foldable ThinkPad, which uses a torque hinge. According to Lenovo, the hardware details and availability for the foldable ThinkPad X1 are expected to be revealed sometime in 2020.
