Microsoft has come with a new trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 which offers some similar elements that we saw last year, including a dark future where body modifications and criminal activity are common. The biggest reveal, however, is undoubtedly the news that Cyberpunk 2077 stars Keanu Reeves.
The trailer reveals one of the critical characters of Cyberpunk 2077, Johnny Silverhand. The legendary rocker boy is played by Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves (The Matrix trilogy, John Wick series, Johnny Mnemonic). In addition to his appearance and voice, Reeves is also providing full-body motion capture for the character.
The listing confirms that V’s “cyberware” can be customized, as well as their “skillset and playstyle“. One of V’s objectives, according to the listing, will be to steal a cybernetic implant which grants eternal life.
Since 2013 Cyberpunk 2077 has been in the works, but we got our first real look at it last year. The project is an open-world shooter with heavy character customization options, set in a world where implants can drastically change people’s appearance and abilities. It’s based on the tabletop title Cyberpunk 2020 and made by CD Projekt Red, known for the Witcher series.
The game debuts on April 16, 2020. You can preorder it today in the link above, and the fare includes a Collector’s Edition.
