Google Home provides easy access to data and therefore, it has become a favorite thing for everyone. And to attract users Google Home now integrates with Netflix and Google Photos. The update allows the user to link their Netflix account with Google Home and play TV shows and movies to Chrome Cast or a Cast-enabled device by issuing a voice command. Google Photos is also integrated with Home which allows you to see your photos on your TV.
With Google Home offering, fairly limited support for third-party content, the goal with Actions is to boost the extensibility of the Google Assistant by enabling it to hook into more services. Google demoed Netflix integration on Google Home during October 4 launch event, and now integration is live on the device.
Like Amazon’s Alexa google too taking similar steps – integrating third-party apps into the digital assistant. Last week, Google opened the door for the developers to build interfaces and integrate their services with the Google Assistant through Actions on Google. Now services like food ordering, popular news, shopping, as well as two-way communication between devices will be more convenient for Google Home. And in the coming months, we can expect a lot more useful updates we can expect on Google Home.
You can now link your Netflix account with Google Home and play TV shows and movies by setting up the integration. To set up the integration, you’ll have to navigate to the Videos and Photos section under Google Home’s settings.
