Vivo has followed up on recent affirmation of announcing the first 5G phone at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) Shanghai 2019 that is slated for the coming week. And, Vivo has some big news up its sleeve for all the Vivo fans out there.
The big announcement is that Vivo is geared up to introduce 120W Super FlashCharge technology. What’s more, Vivo’s 120W charging tech can totally power a 4,000mAh battery phone in just 13 minutes.
Back in March, Xiaomi had got our attention with its 100W Super Charge Turbo technology that could charge a 4,000mAh battery in 17 minutes. But with Vivo’s exciting announcement today, you should know that its 120W Super FlashCharge technology can charge the same-sized battery in lesser time.
As per Vivo, its new technology needs 5 minutes for a 4,000mAh battery to reach 50 percent capacity. This makes Vivo’s the highest and the fastest charging capacity in the smartphone industry.
Vivo had launched the iQOO gaming phone in April, which had the same fast charging rate as in any Vivo smartphone. The 44W fast charging tech pumps up the 4,000mAh battery of the iQOO smartphone in only 45 minutes. Vivo had mentioned using a new charge pump technology with a conversion rate of 97 percent along with FCC technology to achieve 44W fast charging.
Coming to the uber-advanced 120W Super FlashCharge technology, Vivo has kept the technology behind it under wraps. The Chinese company has also not revealed the exact timeline for the mass production of the technology. But tentatively, the company will launch a new flagship phone powered with the 120W charging technology later this year.
It seems that Vivo may unveil both the 5G phone and its sensational 120W Superfast Flash Charge technology at the MWC Shanghai 2019 next week. The tech trade show will take place at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. The timeline for it is between June 26 and June 28.
