Another leaked image of Huawei Mate 30 has surfaced on Weibo, and this time the image has revealed some camera specifications. The GSMArena reported on Monday, “According to an image outed today that purports to show the back glass for Huawei’s upcoming Mate 30 Pro, this time around the Mate flagship will employ a circular camera island, leaving Apple and Google to fight for the ‘best squircle’ awards.”
The previously leaked image of the Huawei Mate 30 suggested that the smartphone would feature very thin bezels keeping up with the contemporary camera fashion, and a hole punch notch with a dual-lens selfie camera. The new leaked images show the camera features. The rear cameras are arranged in an X formation inside a huge black circle. Everyone seems to be at a loss for words as to what exactly call this X shaped camera.
The cameras on the Mate 30 look kind of like the Penta-cameras of Nokia 9 Pureview, but unlike Nokia, Mate 30 has 4 cameras and an LED flash placed symmetrically. The Leica Vario Summilux H 1:1.63-3.4/16-125 ASPH can clearly be read on the rear camera inside the circle. Notably, this is exactly the camera which the Huawei P30 Pro has. Ideally, the Huawei Mate 30 should have the same camera as that of the P30 Pro.
Huawei P30 Pro has a Leica Quad Camera with a 40 MP primary sensor that has a wide-angle lens, an f/1.6 aperture, Optical Image Stabilization, a 20MP Ultra Wide Angle lens with an f/2.2 aperture, an 8MP Telephoto lens with an f/3.4 aperture which also supports OIS and a Time of Flight lens.
Apart from the photo of the phone itself, a photo of a silicone cover with a circular hole in the back has also surfaced on Weibo. This has to be the phone cover case of the Huawei Mate 30. The smartphone is supposed to come in black, red and blue colors, according to the leaked photos.
