The VOOC flash charging system was developed by Oppo, and in some of the OPPO devices, this charger can push the battery to charge from 0 to 70% within just 30 minutes. Needless to say, in this era of a busy schedule, everyone wants to charge their smartphones at lightning speed. Thanks to OPPPO’s VOOC fast charger charging time for a smartphone has reduced almost in half.
To broaden the horizon of the marketable space for its fast-charging system, OPPPO needs to join hands with companies who will be able to develop, manufacture, and sell chips and accessories that do support the VOOC flash charging technology. Accordingly, OPPO has signed a VOOC flash patent license with eight different chip and finished products companies to do the same.
Since the time that the VOOC charger came out into the market, the VOOC flash has applied for more than 1000 core patents worldwide. The sales too have increased and the number of users has exceeded 100 million. With this new ‘treaty’ it is only natural that both the patents and sales will increase dramatically.
Last year in November, OPPO signed a VOOC flash charging patent license agreement with six companies. These six companies are already at work in developing the VOOC charging system related products. This year, the companies that OPPO signed the license with are as follows: Anke Innovation Technology Co., Ltd., Angbao Electronics (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., Hangzhou Silan Microelectronics Co., Ltd., and Lierda Technology Group Co., Ltd.
The company, Ningbo Bull Digital Technology Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Renqing Excellence Investment Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Shishang Chuangzhan Technology Co., Ltd. and Xinhai Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. However, it is not clear yet as to when the users will get to see or use VOOC related products and accessories. There is no doubt that this agreement can only take the company, OPPO forward both in terms of its sales and reputation.
