Smartphones featuring the pop-up camera are becoming increasingly popular worldwide. Brands like Xiaomi, Vivo, OnePlus are already selling their smartphones that come with the pop-up camera. Huawei has launched its first pop-up camera smartphone in India, the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019. The Y9 Prime is priced at Rs. 15,990.
It will be available through offline retail stores. However, if anyone is looking to buy it online, they can purchase it only through Amazon. Pre-booking for this smartphone is also open through retail outlets like Croma and Poorvika. If the pre-booking is done through these retailers the customers will be subjected to a little reward and gift.
With every pre-booking of the Y9 Prime 2019 through Croma and Poorvika, customers will get a Huawei Sport BT headphones and a 15,600 mAh power bank worth Rs. 4,598 for free. Amazon Prime members will have a sort of advantage as the smartphone will be available for them to purchase on August 7. However, for general customers, the sales will begin the next day.
The Huawei Y9 Prime runs on the Kirin 710F SoC which comes with 4 GB of RAM. It features a 6.59 inches FHD+ LCD display screen, and the feature which makes it stand out, the pop-up camera is of 16 MP. The screen does not feature waterdrop notch. In fact, Huawei has decided to do away with the notch, and the Y9 Prime 2019 is basically notch-less.
On the rear side of the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 smartphone, there is a triple camera setup which consists of 16MP main, 8 MP ultra-wide, and 2 MP depth sensor modules. Both the cameras, front and back come with AI-powered features and 3D Portrait retouching.
The y9 Prime 2019 runs on the Android Pie based EMUI 9.1 and has a 128 GB memory which can be expanded up to 512GB via microSD card. There is also a fingerprint scanner on its back. The Y9 Prime comes in Emerald Green and Sapphire Blue color.
