Today, on December 8, 2020, Tuesday, Adobe has been reported to have updated its photo-editing app Lightroom to version 4.1 in the Mac App Store to bring native support for Apple’s new M1 Macs.
Adobe has been reported to have worked on updating its Creative Cloud apps to the new Mac models from Apple. In the last month, Adobe declared the launch of Photoshop Beta for Apple silicon.
Along with that, Adobe has reported that it is working on a native version of another prevalent Adobe software, the Lightroom Classic for Apple silicon. According to Adobe, this updation will be released in the coming year.
Now, the earlier versions of the photo-editing app Lightroom CC did work on M1 Macs. Still, it had to be run through Apple’s Rosetta software, which translates made-for-Intel x86 code to enable it to work on the machines powered by Apple silicon.
The users can download this newly updated professional photo editing software of Adobe without incurring any cost. However, after a trial of one week, the user must buy a monthly subscription costing $9.99, which is done through the in-app purchase system of Apple.
As an added advantage, the user will get an additional 1 TB cloud storage along with the subscription.
Adobe hasn’t stopped here. Today it has also been reported to make a quick updation of Adobe Photoshop for iPadOS to fix a critical bug that caused problems in file import and the issues of the brush.
Along with these, on Monday, that was yesterday, Adobe had also made the updation on Lightroom for iPad. Version 6.1.0 of the app enables the users to access new Discover edits and Learn tutorials through widgets.
