Amazon is constantly transforming logistics services by launching several innovative ideas. After launching Amazon Locker, it came up with a new action in logistics services. It’s stepping up in its delivery services by launching The Hub, a new locker service designed for apartment blocks and multi-tenant dwellings.
The company already has its own set of self-service parcel pickup called Amazon Locker, which is placed in stores like 7-Eleven in the US and Co-operative Food in the UK. But Hub is something that is a more person-specific or exclusive option that tends to help the tenants in residential buildings. It is 24/7 accessible and can be used to store packages from all carriers other than Amazon.
It requires the pickup code to enter on the touch screen, and after entering the code, the door will be opened, showing the item inside the lockers. The Hub comes with an indoor and out of doors version in four colors; therefore, it can be designed for your property. Sizes begin from the Starter Hub, a 6-foot wide model with 42 compartments. there is an additional associate growth module out there that adds another 23.
The pricing of the product is unclear as of now. Those who are interested in installing it on their property are invited to fill out a form with details about the building.
