Amazon had already patented technologies to allow it to conduct deliveries via drones from airborne warehouses, and now foreign media reports suggest that the online shopping giant may finally be ready to start operating its Airship Express delivery.
A recently released video shows a massive aircraft, nothing less impressive than the air carrier from Star Wars, except that this aircraft is filled with express deliveries of Amazon buyers and numerous drones to serve the purpose. The video reveals an airborne airship, from which drones are flying in and out, thus creating a busy work scene. The system is highly efficient, requiring a handful of staff members to change the drone batteries at regular intervals.
