Amazon launched early access for Luna but that access was limited to Fire TV, PC, Mac, and iOS devices, leaving Android users out of the equation. Now, Amazon has edited Luna’s compatible devices and browsers list and added the Android platform to that list as well.

However, not every Android user will get their hands on Luna, and as such, the users have to meet some minimum requirements to have access to it. That is, they have to own one of the few compatible Android devices that can run Luna.

As per the new list, only 21 Android devices from Google, Samsung, and OnePlus will be able to run Luna, and errors out if it is run on an unsupported device.

One thing that has been made clear is that any model’s newness does not guarantee Luna’s compatibility. If this seems unfair to a lot of users, the team Luna has promised that they will try to add more devices to the list over the course of the service’s early access period.

The current list of devices that support Luna includes the Pixel Devices (4XL, 4a, 4a 5G, 5), the Samsung Devices (S10, S10+, Note 10, Note 10+, S20 5G, S20+ 5G, S20 Ultra 5G, Note 20, and the OnePlus Devices (7, 7 Pro, 7 Pro 5G, 8, 8 Pro, Nord, 7T, 7T Pro, 7T Pro 5G).

Users must be running Android 9 or higher and have a minimum internet speed of 10Mbps. Additionally, the users need to have Chrome version 86 or newer installed on their respective devices.

As is the case with the iOS version of Luna service, it is not a native Android app but a progressive web application known as a browser-based program. Users interested in the service can request early access and pay $6 a month for the service.
