Recently, Nokia rolled out the Android 10 update to the 2018 Nokia 6.1 Plus, and it seems that the update might contain bugs.
With this update, the firm is bringing Google’s features like the much-requested dark mode, full-screen gestures, Project Mainline, and an overhauled permissions system to the older device. This comes just weeks after the Nokia 7.1, Nokia 8.1, and the Nokia 9 PureView were updated to Android 10 in rapid succession.
Android 10 is steadily rolling out to Nokia 7 Plus devices but it seems that Nokia gives buggy software in the end. Not all users are precisely happy with the new update as they take on sites to post their complaints.
Users find unnecessary bloatware when opened apps and notifications and select show system. Users also find camera issues as the new update seems to use the “ancient camera” with a low light performance which has not at all improved on the stock camera. Further as promised by the company to provide for an ambient dark theme which is also not found.
Further, it turns itself off on every boot. It seems to be buggy software with sound distortion problem and poor audio output quality and many more. It turns out that Android 10 is compatible with Nokia 6 series but users find that it has terrible bugs listing a number of issues on social media.
One user took Facebook to post about the issue which tells Android 10 bugging Nokia 6.1 numerous uses.
- Users are not able to save pictures when it is clicked through other apps, excluding the stock camera.
- It takes a long time to unlock the fingerprint lock as it never works at the first attempt.
- The ambient display does not work. When the phone is lifted it directly goes to the lock screen.
- For games and voice notes, audio output is poor and blurry.
However, the company is yet to acknowledge the issues faced by the users. We hope that the company soon resolves the issues ASAP.
