Google developed Android Auto, which is made specifically keeping in mind the automobile services that will soon be merged with Google Assistant. The integration if and when it happens, will broaden the outlook both on the side of Google and the drivers. It goes without saying that with the help of Google Assistant, everything will become a little easier.
The news does not end here. Apparently, Android Auto will soon get a feature boost, taking it to the next level. The next feature would possibly enable the display of the weather information in the status bar of the display in the car. In order for Android Auto to get the weather update and for its location-based accurate weather predictions, Google will use the connected smartphone’s location services.
Earlier this year, Google had introduced a redesigned version of the Android Auto car interface. This version did not show any weather information at a glance and for anyone to have access to the weather information, Google Assistant needed to be launched separately. This action may sound like a simple task but can turn out to be annoying and dangerous while driving. With the surfacing of the new toggle in the Android Auto app, it is speculated that the new version will provide weather information on the status bar in the car.
Google Android Auto 4.8 is rolled out today and is available on Google Play Store, and already available on APKMirror.
The new feature has not been implemented yet, as it is not yet up and running. Once the feature goes live for everyone, the new feature will appear in the Settings Page of the Android Auto app. To turn on this new feature, users need to slide the Weather toggle on and read the weather forecast on the display of the car.
