Qualcomm has already shown its cards for this year 2018 given that the Snapdragon 845 will be the main processor of the high-end Android in this year. Even though Apple seems to be one step ahead, the 2018 iPhone X processor will be built on 7-nanometer technology.
Apple has always been one step ahead in the processor section. In each presentation, it never gives us details about the technology of its processor but we do see later in the benchmarks that it is one step ahead of Qualcomm and it seems that this year will be the same. A12 of the iPhone X 2018 would be 7 nanometers, better than that of Samsung and Qualcomm.
This year, Qualcomm promised to improve the Bluetooth connection, energy expenditure, and performance. But the company does not have the plan to change technology for both Snapdragon 835 and Snapdragon 845 and it seems that Apple will not be removed and will take a step forward.
Every year we saw that Apple was always one step ahead of all the processors but it seems that this year the difference will be even bigger. With the A11 Bionic, it is proved that they could compete with everyone and even take more advantages in power and in 2018 this distance will grow.
Reports were that both Samsung and Qualcomm would manufacture their processors in a 10-nanometer technology but that has not been the case. Samsung introduced a 10-nanometer processor with lower power consumption earlier this year. Last week Qualcomm announced its own 10-nanometer chip with a lower power consumption with its own technology.
But it has not been like this in either case and the report that comes to us today is that TSMC, the company that is responsible for manufacturing the Apple processor is already working on making a 7 – nanometer for new iPhone and iPad that comes throughout the year. This technology would allow more space inside the device for other components, give it more power and its energy consumption would be improved compared to other technology.
iPhone is expected to include all design, all screen and the famous FaceID that has given so much talk in the iPhone X this year. Anyway, we’ll have to wait for the rumors to be confirmed and see them on the iPad for the first half of the year.
