Apple’s cloud service, iCloud Mail, is reportedly down for some users as Apple confirms that its email service is grappling with outage issues. A report by Mac Rumors confirmed the development via Apple’s system status page, stating that iCloud Mail has been experiencing an issue over the past few hours and is currently down for some users.

Given that, if you’re experiencing any problems when trying to access iCloud Mail, you’re not alone. For many customers, Apple’s email service is temporarily unavailable, while others may still access it albeit with noticeable delays.

Apple Confirms iCloud Mail Down

Apple’s System Status webpage has previously noted the downtime. The problems, which are still affecting users, were found at 6 PM ET, the business claims. The company says iCloud Mail “may be slow or unavailable.”

However, Apple promises that once the problem is fixed, the System Status page will be updated. The outage is still present, according to the System Status page. So it appears that the tech titan is still working to find a solution to the current problem with its email service.

Users Lament Outage Experiencing

Meanwhile, multiple users have been lamenting their inability to use Mail for the previous few hours on Twitter, in the meantime. Additionally, hundreds of reports of iCloud-related problems have been submitted to DownDetector, which supports the claim that the outage is widespread.

One Twitter user asked if “anyone [else’s iCloud Mail is] not loading for them.”

Another tweet, which tagged the official account of Apple Support, asks if “anyone else [is] having issues with [iCloud Mail]. The user adds, “I [can’t] get mine to work.”

The official Twitter page of Apple Support responded, saying that “At this time, some iCloud mail users may be unable to receive messages.”

iCloud is a cloud service from Apple launched on October 12, 2011, as a successor to MobileMe. From 782 million users in 2016 to an expected 850 million users in 2018, the service has seen growth.
