On Tuesday Apple CEO Cook confirmed that the Apple credit card will launch this August. The company has announced its new credit card in March during its services event where it also unveiled its other services like Apple TV+ streaming video service, Apple Channels, and Apple News+.
Cook confirmed that one can sign up for the card from their iPhone itself and can use it via Apple Pay or through a titanium card that will be mailed to you for free within a few days. Goldman Sachs, the company behind Apple card who is providing with all software tools is in talks to expand the card to other countries but only after its successful debut in the US.
Apple CEO said that the new card has already being tested by many Apple employees. Apple card will provide its customers with an interface that shows them where each purchase was made with different categories of payment slotted to make it easier for users. It will also provide cash-back instead of reward point system without any late fees, annual fees, and others.
Apple Credit card will be launching in August only in the US though the date is not yet confirmed by the company.
