Apple users have complained of facing touch issues on their iPhone X’s, to deal with which Apple has officially announced an offer to replace affected display modules. Apple has tracked down the problem to one of the faulty components on the iPhone X display modules, due to which an iPhone X screen may respond even when there is no touch operation. In certain other circumstances, parts of the screen may not respond at all or respond intermittently to touch operations.
The official announcement informs that users may make an appointment to visit an Apple retail store or find an authorized Apple service provider to get their screens replaced free of cost. However, the service has been extended to eligible devices, and other iPhone models are not covered under the plan.
Users are also advised to back up their data to iTunes or iCloud and repair any and all other problems the phone may face before taking their devices for screen replacement. Apple may also choose to limit the repair of devices to the country of purchase.
The Silicon Valley tech giant in its official website listed the possible symptoms of the affected device. You can take a look here to see the specific replacement service process.
