The Apple event began at 10.30pm IST with Apple CEO Tim Cook arriving on stage. So far, Apple has announced a slew of products Apple Arcade, Apple TV+, iPad (7th Gen), and now the company reveals Apple Watch Series 5.
The Apple Watch Series 5 comes with a built-in compass. Every cellular model has an international emergency calling function in over 100 countries with just the button, without an iPhone. The big new feature of Watch Series 5 is an always-on display option so that one can see the time without having to make an extra effort of moving the wrist. The screen will be in a low-brightness mode until you move your wrist.
The Watch Series 5 has an 18-hour battery life with the new always-on screen mode. The novelty is now available in a recycled aluminum or titanium finishes. The stainless steel and ceramic options from prior models are also available.
The company has also hit a new low to the Apple Watch Series 3 with prices dropping to $199. The Apple Watch Series, 5 GPS models, will start at $399 and cellular models will cost $499 that will start shipping September 30.
