Korean reports conjecture that Apple has decided to scrap the iPhone X notch in the 2019 OLED iPhones. “Apple decided to get rid of notch design starting from 2019 models and is having discussions with relevant companies.” Interestingly, the report also claims that the three iPhones that Apple planned to launch in 2018 will have smaller bezels, including a smaller notch.
It seems that Apple is planning to implement full-screen that is more complete in its new iPhones. – industry representative
The notch removal is changing public attitude towards decisions about the design of the iPhone. Initially, people singled out the notch as a massive design bargain on Apple’s part. Then people actually used the iPhone X and realized it didn’t make much difference to their smartphone usage. If Apple decides to do away with the notch-based design, it will need to figure out where it wants to accommodate the front camera and other sensors that are currently encompassed in the iPhone X.
Other Specifications such as size, resolution, and shape of a new display have not been confirmed yet. Apple eliminating the notch on the iPhone X is probably the end game, however, there is no assurance regarding when it decided to finally implement this decision.
