Within a week of releasing its iOS version 11.3, Apple has supposedly seeded the first beta of its upcoming iOS 11.4 update to developers today. Its iOS 11.3 brought in a host of versatile new features such as Business chat in Messages, new Animoji on iPhone X, battery health for monitoring the iPhone’s battery status, ARKit 1.5 with augmented reality improvements, Health Records from participating medical providers, and so on.
If this floating news piece about the iOS 11.4 update is to be held as the truth, then from now onwards, the registered developers can download the new beta from Apple’s Developer Center or over the air, following the installation of the proper configuration profile from the Developer Center. In all probability, this may be the last major iOS 11 update before Apple’s release of iOS 12 at WWDC 2018 in early June. What’s more? The new beta could contain some clues on fresh Apple features and the hardware that’s slated to come out in the future.
However, it seems that, as of now, there’s a bug preventing the download of the beta profile, but the Apple users technically should not worry as the bug problem shall be resolved soon by the Apple team.
The Apple iOS 11.4 beta update has the new ClassKit framework Apple introduced at its March event. But barring the ClassKit framework, there’s no concrete information about what other features are to be sported by the new beta. Users are held in anticipation of a lot many fresh features to be added to the iOS 11 version, such as iCloud Messages and AirPlay 2 (features that were there in the previous betas but were taken off prior to the release).
As per reports, there’s no sure word regarding the availability of any of these features in the iOS 11.4 version, but the information is open to modification once the beta is downloaded for a thorough review of the features. Apple users should wait for the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2018) where more information can be accessed through the public beta release by the global developers hosted by Apple.
