The Eurasian Economic Commission has certified a few new Apple devices today, July 5. These are models of iPad, MacBook, and iMac.
EEC approved these new iPad models running the iOS 11: A1876, A1935, A1979, A2013, and A2014. Following are MacBook and iMac models running the macOS 10.13: A1931, A1932, A1988, A1989, and A1990.
At least two of the iPad models are expected to be the variants of Apple iPad Pro 2018 that could be soon released as iPad Pro 3. Apple is reported to be developing a new iPad with advanced features such as Face ID and Animojis. It may or may not go for a notched screen design. This is not confirmed yet.
A new MacBook Pro 15,2 has recently been spotted in related news on Geekbench. This means that at least one of the approved five new macOS devices is most likely to be the Pro 15,2. It will be powered by Intel Core I7-8559U Coffee Lake CPU coupled with 16GB RAM. It has scored 4448 on single core and 16607 on multi-score.
As for iMacs, reports say that there could be three models of the device slated to release in 2018. It has been said that Apple may initiate its Kalamata Initiative with this iMac lineup. The initiative aims to replace Intel processors with Apple’s own by 2020. Therefore, Apple will offload some tasks to a co-processor alongside Intel’s chip.
Next month, Apple will celebrate its 20th anniversary of the iMac which should give it a grand chance to release new models. Stay tuned for further updates on all of Apple’s new upcoming devices. Not the iPhones perhaps, for a while!
