Apple has released its first chip, Mac Chip M1, designed specifically for Mac that ensures ‘incredible performance, custom technologies, and revolutionary power efficiency’ altogether.
Designed for the most advanced desktop operating system, macOS Big Sur, this is one of the biggest breakthrough creation by Apple to date.
Earlier, Apple had to seek the help of multiple chips for delivering its unique features, including a processor, I/O, security, and memory. But the new Apple Mac Chip M1, Apple has tried to integrate all its features into a single chip, that promises to deliver more simple, efficient, and better performative actions.
However, despite its disguising small size, this chip is embedded with very complex systems, with tiny transistors with the size of an atom, packs a larger system of transistors, built using industry-leading 5-nanometer process technology.
